Ballet, Bulls and Roses

Grace started ballet last week. She's so excited to learn all the dance steps and of course to finally wear the ballet skirt Nana gave her somewhere other than at home. Mean mom wouldn't let her wear it to chruch or the grocery store (although last year while I was on a business trip Carl let her go to the gorcery store in full fairy princess garb complete with mismatched shoes and one sock, only dad's can get away with that stuff).

She starts Pre-school next week and is excited to see all her friends from last year.  We've lost a few playmates to big kid school this year. Grace has one more year before kindergarten.  Sometimes it hard being the youngest.

In other Pulaski news I woke up Monday morning to find a cow standing in my backyard, quietly munching our vegetable garden. Our 3 dogs, Scout, Ginger and Rosie started barking wildly.  Ginger "bravely" barked from way atop the deck.  I looked to Scout, the border collie.  Apparently he heards squirls, leaves and garbage trucks but not cows. Who knew?!

But, our scardey cat dog, Rosie, the dog who gets spooked by little bunnies charged out into the yard and barked the cow back to the pasture!  Rosie saved the day!

Here is the heroine of my vegetable garden, Rosie. Notice how she's not fooled by the "nice guy" routine Mr.Walmart is trying to pull.

  1. My question is what do you have left in your garden that a cow would want?

  2. Yay Rosie! Grace is so darn cute. Save that ballerina picture for the wedding montage someday;)
